Abstract

This study investigated the effect of tetracycline on the protein expression of the gene coding for the protein of the tetracycline resistance gene (tet-1) in human osteosarcoma cell line MCF-7. The results showed that a combination of tetracycline and the non-tetracycline antibiotic was capable of inducing the expression of the gene of the tet-1 gene. A similar result was observed when the combination of tetracycline and minocycline was combined.
